DELIVERY PREPERATION

The firewood is dump truck delivered. Please have ready a clear, snow & ice free, hard, level 10 foot wide by 20+ foot long area free of overhanging branches and wires for the drop site. Be aware of underground pipes and septic systems. The truck can not be on a side hill when the wood is dumped. The dump body must rise to a height of no less than 13 feet from ground level to properly unload the wood. We are not responsible for wheel ruts due to soft ground conditions. This is a very important consideration when asked to drop the wood off beyond a solid driveway. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns

CLEAN-UP TIP

Place a 12 x 16-20 foot tarp on the ground to dump the wood on to catch loose bark

DRYING TIPS:

FOR BEST RESULTS FIREWOOD SHOULD BE LOOSELY STACKED WITH NO LESS THAN 1/3 AIR SPACE IN AN OPEN AREA EXPOSED TO THE SUN AND WIND. FIREWOOD NEEDS AIR TO MOVE AROUND IT. COVER ONLY THE TOP ROW AND LEAVE THE SIDES EXPOSED. TARPING THE ENTIRE PILE ONLY TRAPS GROUND MOISURE AND WILL MAKE THE WOOD WETTER!

IF YOU STACK THE WOOD IN AN ENCLOSED SPACE (BASEMENT, GARAGE) LEAVE A WINDOW PARTIALLY OPEN AND USE A FAN TO BLOW AIR ON THE WOOD FOR SPEEDY DRYING
